The Story Of (Sade Sati) Shani Dev And Lord Shiva

This story is regarding the power of Shani dev.

Shani dev goes through the karmic phase in everyone’s life that is seven and a half period (Sade Sati).

And the phase of Sade Sati has to face everyone in their life.

This story is between the Lord Shani Dev and Lord Shiva that Lord Shani Dev has to set the Seven and a half (Sade Sati) over Lord shiva.

Lord Shiva is Guru of Shani Dev.

One morning, Lord Shani Dev went to Kailash and said to Lord shiva that he has to set the Seven and a half over him. By listening to this sentence from Shani dev, the Lord shiva refused to set Sade Sati. But, Shani dev said it is his duty, and he can’t skip that. There has been a lot of conversion between Lord Shani Dev and Lord shiva to set Sade Sati, but somehow Lord Shiva gets convinced to gaze Shani dev him for a short time duration.

Lord Shiva asked Shani dev that for how long you will be gazing on me.

In the conversation between Lord Shani Dev and Lord Shiva, Shani Dev said, let me reside only for Five years or at least for 2.5 years. But, Lord Shiva, was not agreeing for this nor 7.5 months or even seven days.

Lord Shani Dev said to his Guru Lord Shiva that if he skips phase of Sade Sati from him then, the world will not make faith in him.

So, Ultimately the Lord shiva get agreed to stay on his moon sign only for 3 hours and 45 minutes.

And, also thought that in this very small-time, what will Lord Shani Dev do to him.

Lord Shiva took the form of Brahmin and went to the river Ganga to take, bath by thinking that the time of 3 hours and 45 minutes will get passed in bathing, and the period time of Lord Shani Dev, will effortlessly get over.

But, while in the way going to the River Ganga, Lord Shiva took two watermelons and kept in his bag.

The watermelon seller was the Shani Dev, while Lord Shiva moving on the way of river Ganga and the shadow of Lord Shani Dev fell on the brahmin body(Lord Shiva), and suddenly his mind changed.

The seller showed him two watermelons and, Lord Shiva got pleased to see those juicy watermelons and bought it from the seller and kept them in the bag and proceeded towards the river.

The previous day, the King two sons were missing who went into the jungle for hunting. The King was concerned for his sons. So he sends the soldiers to the jungle for seeking the Princes.

While searching, one of the soldiers reached to Brahmin (Lord Shiva) and asked the Brahmin to show his bag.

So Brahmin replied there were two watermelons in the bag, but the blood was dripping from the bag.

The Brahmin gets shocked. Soldiers took that bag from the Brahmin and opened it, and soldiers found the cut head of the King’s sons. This illusion was happening due to the gaze of Lord Shani Dev, the watermelon, had changed into the King son’s heads.

Soldiers arrest the Brahmin and make present the Brahmin in front of the angry King.

The King said to Brahmin that you are not Brahmin, you are a murderer and ordered his soldiers to hang Brahmin till death.

As Lord Shiva was Brahmin, so he requested the soldiers to wait for a few minutes and said if he gets saved, he will give them 10,000 of Gold Coins.

Lord Shiva knew that Shani’s gaze time, will over soon. The Soldiers accepted the terms of Lord Shiva.

Soon the Lord Shani Dev gazing time gets over, and after that, the two King’s Sons get entered back into the Royal Palace. Quickly the king sent a messenger to the soldiers that not to hang the Brahmin as his sons have come back alive.

Brahmin was brought to the palace by Soldiers. The king felt sorry for his deed and asked Brahmin for his forgiveness.

Brahmin explained to the king that all this incident is happening due to the gaze of Lord Shani Dev. The king then saw the bag of Brahmin and found two watermelons inside it.

The king arranged the aromatic bath for Brahmin, worshipped him, and served him delicious food, gave new clothes, and filled his bag with Gold coins.

After this all incident, the Lord Shani Dev again reached to Lord Shiva and asked him, what was the experience of his Gaze?

Lord Shiva replied to Shani Dev, “Oh Shani Dev, It was a great experience as you have stayed only for 3 hours and 45 minutes on my moon sign. So What would have happened if you had stayed on me for seven and a half years?

Lord Shiva also said yes, Shani Dev, you are the most powerful in the world.

Lord Shani Dev ask pardon to his Guru Shiva for happening to experience the seven and a half years of the period and says I will never annoy you in this way again.

After saying these words, Shani Dev, bow down to his Guru and went back to his Shani Lok.

Through this story, you can understand how Lord Shani Dev makes Fair justice for the entire world.
